Who we are
Tacet (“we”) is an early-stage company that operates the Tacet web app and Chrome extension. We are the controller of account data and request logs. For workspace content, the customer decides what is captured and we act on its behalf. Contact: shubhamjoshipro.mail@gmail.com.
What we collect
Accounts
Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code.
Product data
The extension captures only on sites a person switches on, or in Tacet's demo desk. We receive field names and labels; safe values (numbers, dates, dropdown and radio choices, checkboxes, short codes); which buttons and actions were used; and the page URL and title. We also receive the spoken or typed answers an expert gives. We do not capture passwords or hidden fields, values that look like payment cards, IBANs or email addresses (filtered in the page before sending), free-text contents (only the length is sent), keystrokes, the clipboard, other tabs, or sites not switched on. Optional screen replays stay in browser memory. Optional cloud vision sends screenshots to Tacet and its AI vision provider, with detected personal-data regions blurred.
Before storage and before any AI call, the server removes IBANs, payment cards, emails, phone numbers, tax ids and secret-bearing URLs from answers and captured events.
Usage
Standard request logs from our servers.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: build Work Maps, ask questions, coach new hires, export rules.
- Security: sign-in, access control, investigating abuse.
- Abuse limits: daily caps on AI usage per workspace and per demo.
We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
AI processing
Scrubbed content is sent to Anthropic and OpenAI (language and vision) and, if voice is used, ElevenLabs. Their API terms exclude using API data to train their models. Tacet does not train models on customer data.
Sub-processors
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Railway | Hosting, database (Postgres, US West), file storage | Customer content, account emails |
| Anthropic | AI language and vision processing | Scrubbed answers and events; screenshots only if cloud vision is on (personal-data regions blurred) |
| OpenAI | AI language and vision processing | Same as above |
| ElevenLabs | Voice (only if voice is used) | Spoken audio and transcribed text |
| Resend | Sign-in emails | Email address, one-time code |
Details are on the security page.
Retention
- Workspace data is kept until the customer deletes it.
- Any member can download all workspace data as JSON and delete the workspace in the app. Deleting destroys the workspace's encryption key, so the data cannot be read again, including from backups.
- A person can delete their own account; the workspace's data stays with the workspace.
- Demo sandboxes (“Try the demo”, no sign-in) are private to the visitor and deleted automatically 48 hours after they start.
- Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.
- “Off the record” pauses capture at any time.
Your rights
You can export and delete your data in the app. For access, correction, deletion or any other privacy request, or if you cannot use the app, email shubhamjoshipro.mail@gmail.com. If you are an employee whose work was captured, your employer's workspace administrator is the first contact; we will help them respond. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Data is hosted in the United States (Railway, US West), and our AI and email providers process data in the US or elsewhere. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the US. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when practices change. Material changes will be marked at the top of this page.
